letter to a host family

My name is Yuika. I am studying at KGU in Japan. I major English. I like to play sports, especially swimming, dancing and snowboarding. I am female, but sometimes I am called a masculine girl. I will live with my sister independent from my parents. I usually cook dinner. I like cooking, but I am not good at it. I would like to help with your cooking. Please tell me the way to be good at cooking and some traditional dishes which are famous in your country. I also like eating, but sometimes I ate too much and I have a stomachache. That’s why when you think that I am eating too much, please warn me. I have some questions about your family.

First, do you have any pets? I like animals, so if you have any pets, I want to get along with them. Second, I want to visit a lot of famous places while I stay there. I also want to go shopping so how much money do I have to bring to do what I want to do in your country? Third, is there any smoker in your family? I don’t’ like smoke, so I would like you to avoid smoking when you are with me. Next, what are you doing? Are you working? Do you have enough time to spend with me? I want to talk about Japan and want to learn about your country. I like to know about other country’s culture and finding differences between Japan and other countries. I also want to talk about school life, my family and romance with you. When you are free in the holiday, please guide me around your home town.

Next, how long does it take from your home to the school in which I am going to study? Can I walk to school? Next, is there any grocery store where I can get ingredients for cooking Japanese food like soy-sauce and mirin, sweet sake for seasoning? I am planning to make nikujyaga for your family. It is one of the most famous and traditional foods in Japan. Finally, do you accept any other foreign student while I stay at your home? If you are planning to, I am very grad because I want to be friends with them. That’s all. If you have any question about me, please send me an e-mail○○○△△@gmail.com or write a letter to me. I am looking forward to seeing your family and to having good time in your country. Thank you! Yuika

classes

I am worried about registration classes. Which class should I take? Which class is interesting? Which class is hard to get degree? It is difficult for me to choose only myself. I asked sinior about taking classes. Advices which they gave me is very helpful, but I think it is difficult to know about classes until I take these classes. I am going to study English in Canada, and it makes me more confused to taking classes. I have to register thinking about studying abroad and the things after I come back to Japan. I think it is better to chose classes which I interested in than which I can get degree easily but it is not interesting classes.Whichever I choose, it is ture that I am looking foward the second grades in campus life.

TOEFL score

The score TOEFL ibt is backed today. It is better score I have expected. I am very glad!! However, I have to study English more, because my English skill is not stable. When I am good at reading, my listening skill is not good. I want to know the way to steady my English skill. I think living with English is the best way.

TOEFL ibt ①

There is few natural resource energy now. People is worrying about energy shortage. However if we find renewable resource, the mattar is not so serious. That's why We need tofind renewable energy resource like sun light, wind, land heat and so on. It is the good way to get renewable energy from sun light. 1000 years ago, people burned tree and store sun's power into tree and get energy. Recentry the way to get energy have been thought again. The proces to get energy from sun light is used for bio-mass energy. The old way to get energy is related bio-mass energy. Bio-mass energy is better for the earth than fuel energy. People can get bio-deasel from bio-mass energy. Bio-deasel can replace gasolin. In additon using bio-deasel is less air potution than using gasolin. Therefore we can find renewable resource and we don't have to worry about energy shortage.

I should never forget the day as a one of Japanese. I pray for people who died and people who have been having difficult time by the disastar of  The Great East Japan Earthquake.

the dentist

In last week, I went to dentist to have my wisdom teeth pulled out. I was afraid of it because once I have had my wisdom teeth pulled out. When I experienced it for the first time, the dentist didn't give me any medicine like painkiller. That's why my cheek became swollen and it was too painful to sleep. It was hard time foe me.

I remembered it before I have the operation. However the dentist who pulled out my teeth this time was different person  who pulled out my teeth before. The operation finished earlier than I have expected, and the dentist gave me medicine. However I had troublesome this time too. Blood continued to flow out for two hours.

It has passed a week since I had my wisdom teeth pulled out. Now I feel better than last week and I have no painful, but I can't help thinking the scar. Sometimes, I touched the scar with my tongue.
I hope to get well soon.
